Feature: Three things DC digital comics needs

DC has a whole decade history of digital first comics. But after the recent April DC Digital First initiative, high profile series such as Sensational Wonder Woman or The Next Batman: Second Son, the publisher has to treat digital comics at the same level as printed issues. Three most needed changed for them are:

Mini Review: Truth & Justice #4 (8.5/10)

First Truth & Justice chapter with Superman is totally different from Vixen's previous issue. We have more words and more complicated story.Superman is investigating situations when prisoners are found in their homes without knowledge of how they were getting there. When a villain appears it seems to have something to do with teleportation.

Mini Review: Sensational Wonder Woman #4 (8.5/10)

I liked the second chapter of this story more than previous. Twist in it´s half was not so unpredictable, but brought new dynamics to the story. Team-up of Amazons is full of fresh dialogues and cooperation. Explanation of the background of events before the end was very classic, but I like these old school things. This chapter was the best to date in the series IMHO.

Mini Review: Sensational Wonder Woman #3 (8/10)

Second story of Wonder Woman's current second title is bringing us new landscapes and new characters for this series. At the beginning Diana is flying to Warworld after receiving distress calls from Artemis. If you haven't read much about Amazons for the last 30 years, she is from splinters who broke from Themyscira and found Home in Egypt in the city of Bana-Mighdall. Red Hood´s fans can remember her from Outlaws stories.

Mini Review: Truth & Justice #3 (8/10)

The last Vixen´s chapter of the anthology has a very nice ending to this story, even if not so original. People are fighting against gods and then a small team is created. Actual end seems as if there will be some continuation of the story and for me, Vixen´s digital series with these Global Guardians can be very interesting.

All realistic themes from real lives.

In April when pandemic caused Diamond Comics to close shipments DC comics started Digital First initiative, which was the biggest digital comics launch to date. Seven weekly series, so every day there were new DC digital comics with famous artists and writers. Through 2020 some series were changed for another and at the end of year, all of them ended, as was also Injustice Year One digital series by Tom Taylor. But at the same time, they started a new series and at the very beginning of this year, another two. Also a few new digital series were announced. Mini Review: Truth & Justice #2 (7/10)

In the second digital chapter of this anthology, Vixen is waking up in the camp. Almost half of the issue is her dream which included Vandal Savage, Anansi, Gilgamesh and new character Oya. Then she is flying to Kenya and side-by-side with Impala fighting gods known as Nyame.

Mini Review: Truth & Justice #1 (8/10)

In comics there can be two types of anthologies: Same as in books, when anthology is one issue which contents few stories, often with different characters and creators, and same as in tv-shows, where anthology is show, which after some number of episodes (generally one season) is completely changing title characters. Truth & Justice is the second type.

Mini Review: Sensational Wonder Woman #2 (8/10)

In conclusion of the first print issue and second digital chapter, there is a lot of action. Diana is in his costume and is fighting against the main villain of the issue with another female Justice League member on her side.

Mini Review: Sensational Wonder Woman #1 (8.5/10)

DC Comics started the new year with few digital series. First of them was   Sensational Wonder Woman.

It is the successor to Wonder Woman: Agent of Piece, part of their Digital First initiative, which ended in December. It is also spiritual continuation of other digital first series, Sensation Comics featuring Wonder Woman, which run in 2014 - 2015. Weekly 51 digital chapters was printed in 17 issues and then collected in three TPBs. They were out of continuity of the mainstream DC Universe.
